About Lance
Lance Bourgeois has served in full-time pastoral ministry for more than 25 years, faithfully preaching, teaching, counseling, and equipping believers to follow Christ with wisdom and conviction. Whether speaking at churches, conferences, retreats, or leadership events, Lance is passionate about helping people understand God's Word, apply it to everyday life, and experience the transforming power of the gospel. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lance and his wife, Ellen, returned home in the fall of 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Louisiana State University, a Master of Theology in Family Life Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Youth, Family, and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary. In addition to his formal education, he has pursued specialized training in pastoral counseling, spiritual formation, conflict resolution, and marriage enrichment through mentors and organizations including Larry Crabb's School of Spiritual Direction, PREP, and Prepare/Enrich. Grounded in the conviction that "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16–17), Lance brings together careful biblical exposition, practical insight, and decades of ministry experience. His engaging and approachable style equips listeners to think biblically, grow spiritually, strengthen their relationships, and faithfully navigate the challenges of everyday life. Whether addressing a congregation, leading a leadership retreat, speaking to men or families, or teaching on biblical discipleship and Christian living, Lance's desire is the same: to help people remove the obstacles that hinder their fellowship with Christ so they can experience the freedom, joy, and purpose found in walking closely with Him.
